About Me

Born in the mid Sixties, I grew up as a fifth generation farmer's son in the county of Devon, South West England, before becoming an engineer by way of Loughborough University of Technology in the Eighties. Since then I have lived in the City of Bristol, working initially as an aerospace engineer and then as a business consultant.

The earnest pursuit of screen writing began in 2003 after many years of prevarication, though it took another two years to find my way. I started my first project in 2005 and completed its third draft in 2007. It was a painful learning curve and, needless to say, will remain hidden from the World for all eternity!

Still, that first screen play did have some good ideas within it and I haven't given up on those - there will be a return match. It also gave birth to my second project, ' A Child of Our Time', which was effectively the back story of one of its characters - and that won me third place in the Final Draft Big Break contest in 2008, having taken me just three months to write.
